What is Multi-room Audio?
Multiroom audio is a music streaming system that delivers music on demand to many rooms around your property. Much like having a single hifi system in one room, multi-room audio works on the same principal but across as many rooms as you wish. Capable of streaming music either wired across a network or wirelessly through the air, you can now enjoy a different music track all over your home. The kids can enjoy their musical tastes in their bedrooms, Mum boogies on down in the kitchen and Dad relaxes with his favourite music whilst doing the gardening.
Once you know how you wish to access your digital media, a system can be configured for installation. One of the most common systems installed today consist of a node, (a central zone) in the home where all the equipment for music distribution is installed and then each individual room has its control interface and speaker system to play the audio. The speakers can be small satellite or bookshelf speakers strategically placed on stands, shelves or on top of cabinets and cupboards or for total discretion, in-wall and in-ceiling speakers that can visually disappear.
